General Sports Book Rules
1. BetMGM/The Sportsbook reserves the right to refuse any wager, and/or delete or limit selections, prior to the acceptance of any wager.
2. BetMGM/The Sportsbook will determine minimum and maximum wagers amounts per patron on all events to include: all periods, segments, propositions, and future book wagers.
3. BetMGM/The Sportsbook mobile wagering application displays real time lines, current odds, and potential payouts when placing wagers. Patrons will be prompted with a confirmation message that selections are correct prior to the selection of the ‘place wagers’ button. Line change notifications may occur at any time during the wager placement process. The system by default accepts more favorable odds and the player must acknowledge or decline any less favorable odds changes. This setting can be adjusted by the player to accept all odds changes for fastest play or acknowledge all odds changes for a more conscientious play.
4. For retail wagers, please check your tickets for accuracy before leaving the betting window. Leaving the window with the ticket is deemed an acceptance of the wager by both parties.
5. Tickets will not be altered or voided prior to the start of an event except at the discretion of management and with the approval of both parties.
6. Once both parties accept a wager, tickets will not be altered or voided after an event officially begins.
7. Wagers may only be rescinded in accordance with rules or regulations promulgated by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.
8. For online wagers, if a patron made an inadvertent bet in patron's account due to an error (e.g., inadvertent multiple identical bets), patron must inform BetMGM/The Sportsbook within 15 minutes of any bet patron placed for BetMGM/The Sportsbook to consider appropriate adjustments to be made to patron's account.
9. The Sportsbook at Casino del Mar is not responsible for lost, stolen, altered or unreadable tickets. Lost or stolen ticket claims may be paid upon presentation of supporting information or documentation. In the absence of such documentation, the Sportsbook at Casino del Mar reserves the right to wait at least one year after the conclusion of the event to make its decision regarding payment.
10. For retail wagers, sports wagering tickets will be honored for ninety (90) days after the date of the event. Vouchers will be honored for ninety (90) days after the date of issuance. Winning tickets may be mailed in for redemption. Refer to reverse side of wagering ticket for mail-in redemption instructions. The Sportsbook at Casino del Mar is not responsible for tickets not mailed pursuant to instructions on the reverse side of the ticket.
11.For retail wagers, identification information is required to be presented at certain thresholds of wagers and payouts in accordance with Local and Federal regulations.
12. Wagers accepted will not be changed or voided upon confirmation of the successfully placed wager.
13. The Sportsbook at Casino del Mar will notify patrons of odds or line changes in the following manner:
- Posted odds will be changed automatically on the electronic reader boards.
- Posted odds will be changed manually on all handwritten sports boards.
- Posted changes will be updated in a timely fashion on the electronic reader boards or the handwritten sports boards.
- Non-posted printed media will be updated on a weekly basis with the date of the latest issue.
14. BetMGM/The Sportsbook reserves the right to add, change or delete the payout ratio limits.
15. There is no void of any wager after the event has started.
16. Wagers may be accepted at terms other than those displayed within the main sports book rules or individual sports wagering rules. Specific stipulations will be displayed within the inventory section of an event page.
17. BetMGM/The Sportsbook reserves the right to add to, change or delete the BetMGM and Sportsbook at Casino del Mar House Rules, subject to regulatory approval.
18. BetMGM/The Sportsbook will not accept the past posting of wagers, in such cases the wager may be refunded, or where the outcome of the event is already known, in all such cases the wager will be refunded.
19. BetMGM/The Sportsbook will accept wagers on currently posted terms unless otherwise posted or noted on printed media.
20. BetMGM/The Sportsbook is prohibited from accepting or paying out any wager on any event:
- involving educational institutions of primary, intermediate and secondary levels, or whose athletes or participants are predominantly minors;
- that is offensive, distasteful, unsavory or cause affront to normal public standards including, but not limited to, events involving:
- the death of a living person or animal other than in cockfighting held in accordance with the Puerto Rico Rooster Law of the New Millennium;
- criminal conduct or appears to induce criminal conduct;
- a risk of inciting an individual to breach the rules of a sports governing body or equivalent; or
- discriminatory or derogatory inferences against race, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexuality;
- which threatens the dignity of people or the right to honor personal and family privacy and image;
- that is against the rights of minors or any constitutionally recognized right or freedom;
- that is not adequately supervised or not conducted in compliance with applicable law;
- if the outcome of the event is not verifiable, not generated by a reliable and independent process, and/or is likely to be affected by sports wagering;
- that is a Special Event, unless such event is approved by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission and the outcome can be resolved within thirty days of commencement; or
21. BetMGM/The Sportsbook will not accept wagers by the following:
- any person who is a “Prohibited Player,” which includes any individual who is:
- any retail player under the age of eighteen (18);
- any online player under the age of twenty-one (21);
- an employee of the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission;
- listed on the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission’s Voluntary Exclusion List or Involuntary Exclusion List;
- listed on the BetMGM/The Sportsbook’s Voluntary Exclusion List or Involuntary Exclusion List;
- a director, officer, owner, contractor, or employee of BetMGM/The Sportsbook, or any relative living in the same household, with exceptions for private pools where their association with BetMGM/The Sportsbook is clearly disclosed;
- an individual, group of individuals, or entity with access to confidential information held by BetMGM/The Sportsbook, with exceptions for private pools where their association with BetMGM/The Sportsbook is clearly disclosed; or
- an individual, group of individuals, or entity acting as an agent or surrogate for others.
- any person, from Puerto Rico, the United States, or any part of the world who is recognized as a professional athlete or participant, coach, referee, or director of a Sports Governing Body or equivalent or any of its member teams, if the wager is determined, either in whole or in part, by the accumulated statistical result of that individual or the individual’s real-life team or the Sports Event or Special Event in which the individual participates;
- a Sports Governing Body or equivalent or any of its member teams if the wager is determined, either in whole or in part, by the accumulated statistical results of the Sports Event or Special Event in which the individual participates;
- any athlete or participant, or a referee personnel member, in, or on, any Sports Event or Special Event supervised by that individual’s Sports Governing Body or equivalent, if the wager is determined, either in whole or in part, by the accumulated statistical results of the Sports Event or Special Event in which the individual participates;
- a person who occupies a position of authority or influence sufficient to exercise it over the athletes and participants in a Sports Event or Special Event, including, but not limited to, coaches, managers, handlers, athletic trainers, or sports trainers in general, if the wager is determined, either in whole or in part, by the accumulated statistical results of the Sports Event or Special Event in which the individual participates;
- a person with access to certain types of confidential information about any Sports Event, Special Event, or Sports Betting, if the wager is determined, either in whole or in part, by the accumulated statistical results of the Sports Event or Special Event in which the individual participates;
- any person identified by any list provided by the Sports Governing Body or equivalent to the Commission in Puerto Rico;
- the director or indirect legal or beneficial owner of a Sports Governing Body or equivalent or any of its member teams in which any member team of that Sports Governing Body or equivalent participates.
22. Management will maintain a record of all point spreads, odds, final scores and related betting proposition statistics and outcomes to protect both the patron and BetMGM/The Sportsbook in case of obvious mechanical or human error.
23. BetMGM/The Sportsbook account holders are encouraged to contact Customer Care by email or live chat for additional wagering information, questions, and complaints of any such nature. BetMGM/The Sportsbook will investigate any issue and provide a timely response not to exceed 5 calendar days. For complaints that cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the patron as related to: patron accounts, settled tickets, or illegal activity, a copy of such complaint, along with BetMGM/The Sportsbook response and documentation, shall be provided to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission as required.
24. Cancelled events that have either not started or have not met the minimum length for an event to be official will result in straight wagers being cancelled. Parlays that involve a cancelled event will reduce to the next lowest number of selections.
25. All future wagers are “action” as long as a winner is officially declared, unless otherwise posted or noted on printed media.
26. Types of sporting events offered will be those submitted to and/or approved by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.
